BE-1900 Initial Training
A.T.S. Prerequisites for the BE-1900 Type Rating
A: Primary Prerequisites
Certificate with no limitations (one of the following):
· Applicant shall hold a type rating for a multi-engine land turbo-propeller airplane, or have been appointed by a military service as a pilot-in-command (PIC) of a multi-engine land turbo-propeller airplane.
· Applicant shall have at least 2,000 hours of actual flight time, of which 500 hours must be in multi-engine land turbine powered airplanes.
· Applicant shall have at least 500 hours of flight time in the BE-1900.
· Applicant shall have at least 1,000 hours of flight time in at least two different airplanes requiring a type rating.
B: Alternate Prerequisites
Certificate subject to pilot-in-command limitations for the additional rating (15hours SOE required): (one of the following):
· Applicant holds a type rating in a turbojet airplane.
· Since the beginning of the 12th calendar month before the month in which the applicant completes the practical test for the additional rating has logged:
o At least 100 hours of flight time in a multi-engine land airplane which requires a type rating.
o At least 25 hours of flight time in a BE-1900.
C: Certificate subject to pilot-in-command limitations for the additional rating
(25hours SOE required)
· The applicant must complete the Part 142, A.T.S. program, including all training and testing.
A.T.S. Course Outline
The entire training course will take 12 days to complete, allowing for one day off.
Ground School
Consists of 40 hours of class room instruction. The entire 40 Hours is conducted with our instructor. He will be using numerous training aids:
1. Computer Training Systems BE-1900 online program
2. Video Training:
· Controlled Flight into Terrain
· NASA In-Flight Icing Training for Pilots
· Low Visibility Taxiing (SMGCS) (Revised)
· Aircraft Surface Movement
· Windshear/Flight path Control
3. Panel diagrams (wall posters)
4. Cockpit mock up trainers (CMT)
Simulator Training
The final phase of training will be conducted in our Level C Full Flight Simulator.
· 15 hours of hands on training covering all maneuvers, profiles, irregulars, and emergencies required for the check-ride.
· 2.5 hour check-ride including 1-1.5 hour oral
